Creating Events

Rezzy's enhanced event creation gives you everything needed to attract the right performers and sell tickets.

Event Creation Flow​

Creating an event is now a guided 5-step process:

Step 1: Basic Information​

  • Select your venue (if you manage multiple)
  • Event name - be descriptive!
  • Date - when's it happening?
  • Start/End times - help performers plan
  • Capacity override - different from venue capacity?

Step 2: Event Details​

  • Featured image - make your event stand out
  • Description - sell your event to performers
  • Performer types wanted - DJs, bands, comedians, etc.
  • Submission deadline - last date to apply

Step 3: Ticketing​

  • Standard ticket price - your regular admission
  • Early bird pricing - reward early buyers
  • External ticketing URL - link to Eventbrite, RA, etc.
  • Table service - VIP options available?

Step 4: Policies​

  • Age restrictions - 18+, 21+, all ages?
  • Accessibility info - wheelchair access, facilities
  • Special requirements - dress code, ID needed

Step 5: Review & Publish​

  • Check all details
  • Choose to publish immediately or save as draft

Tips for Great Events​

Compelling Descriptions​

Write descriptions that help performers understand:

  • The vibe you're going for
  • Your target audience
  • What makes this event special
  • Any specific requirements

Setting Deadlines​

  • Give performers 2-4 weeks to apply
  • Set submission deadline at least 1 week before event
  • Earlier deadlines for holiday/special events

Performer Types​

Be specific about what you need:

  • Don't just tick every box
  • Match performer types to your event
  • Consider your venue's usual programming

Managing Applications​

Once your event is live:

  • Check applications regularly
  • Respond promptly to maintain interest
  • Build your lineup strategically
  • Communicate clearly with selected performers

Event Visibility​

Published Events​

  • Immediately visible to all performers
  • Show up in "Apply to Events" section
  • Can receive applications right away

Draft Events​

  • Only you can see them
  • Perfect for planning ahead
  • Publish when you're ready

Editing Events​

You can always update your events:

  • Change details anytime
  • Add/remove performer types
  • Update deadlines
  • Modify ticket prices

Note: Notify confirmed performers of any significant changes!
