Browsing Available Events
Accessing the Events Page
From your dashboard, click "Apply to Events" to see all available opportunities.
Understanding Event Listings
Each event card shows:
- Event name and date
- Venue name and location
- Event type (DJ night, live music, comedy, etc.)
- Date and time
- Brief description
- Application status (if you've already applied)
Event Details
Click on any event to see:
- Full event description
- Specific requirements
- Venue information
- Performance time slots
- Current lineup (if any)
- Application deadline
Search and Filters
Filter Options
Narrow down events by:
- Date range: Find events in your available periods
- Location: Search by city or area
- Event type: DJ sets, live bands, comedy nights, etc.
- Genre: Match events to your style
- Venue type: Clubs, pubs, festivals, private events
Sorting Results
Sort events by:
- Date: Soonest first or latest first
- Recently added: See the newest opportunities
- Application deadline: Don't miss out!
Applying to Events
Before You Apply
Review these key points:
- ✅ Does your style match what they're looking for?
- ✅ Are you available on the date?
- ✅ Can you meet their technical requirements?
- ✅ Is the venue within your travel range?
- ✅ Does the timing work with your schedule?
Making Your Application
- Click "Apply to Event" on the event page
- Your profile is automatically sent to the venue
- Add a note (optional but recommended) to:
- Express specific interest in their event
- Mention relevant experience
- Confirm your availability
- Highlight why you're a great fit
Application Best Practices
Do:
- Apply to events that genuinely match your style
- Apply promptly - venues often book first come, first served
- Check your calendar before applying
- Follow up if you haven't heard back within a week
Don't:
- Spam applications to every event
- Apply to events you can't actually do
- Send generic messages
- Be pushy or demanding

Responding to Invitations
When you receive an invitation:
- Review the event details carefully
- Check your availability
- Respond promptly with Accept or Decline
- Include a message thanking them for the opportunity
Why Venues Invite You
- Your profile matches their needs
- They've seen you perform before
- Another performer recommended you
- Your style fits their regular programming
Application Status
Track your applications from the dashboard:
- Pending: Awaiting venue response
- Accepted: You're booked! 🎉
- Declined: Not selected for this event
- Withdrawn: You cancelled your application
